Discount Tee Times to Heal Spring Golf Itch

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

The weather is warming and we’re all itching to dust off the clubs and hit the links. Depending on where you live you might have a more patient wait than others (ie. me in Edmonton). However, simply because you live in a colder climate does not mean you can’t play some golf in March and April!

Due to the tough economy there are lots of great flight seat sales currently so it might be cheaper than you think to book a weekend golf trip to a sunny destination. As a result, I wanted to inform our readers that GolfPatio has a nice inventory of Discount Tee Times in many of the popular sunny spots, such as Arizona, Florida, California, Texas, Nevada, and Hawaii.

I was browsing the Discount Tee Times today and saw deals up to 70% off normal rates, such as a 68% tee time special for the Links Course at Arizona Biltmore Golf Club. This course is absolutely beautiful and you can play 18 holes with a power cart for $59US, which saves you a whopping $126US.

Prefer Southern California? There is a nice tee time discount for the Carlton Oaks Golf Course just outside of San Diego. You can golf 18 holes there for an amazingly low price of $35US. If you always thought you could be a pro than you will be happy to know that Carlton Oaks Golf Course is hosting both a Canadian Tour School Qualifier and PGA Tour First Stage Qualifier in 2009. Put yourself to the test on this beautiful Perry Dye designed course.

I don’t want to forget everyone out East! In Florida alone I believe there are about 400 Discount Tee Times each day currently. One tee time special that stood out to me was at the famous Great White Course at Doral Golf Resort, which was designed by Greg Norman. The Great White Course at Doral is known to be the only true “desert-scape” golf course of high quality within the Southeastern United States. The tee time discount is 24%, which for such a high quality course is quite generous. Golfing at Doral will still run you about $190US but the $60 you save can definitely buy you a nice souvenir or a fun 19th hole feast.

I could go on for days about the many discount tee times being offered but I encourage you to take a look and get out there golfing sooner rather than later. Browse the links provided below for Discount Tee Times at the most popular destinations or search other locations on our Discount Tee Times page – enjoy!

Golf and Fun in the City of San Diego

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

With the Canadian golf season still about two months away, why not get a jump on the season with a golf getaway to San Diego, California.   San Diego boasts consistent weather through the winter months and is a city waiting to be discovered. A golfer has a wonderful selection of courses to choose from and each course is distinctly unique from the next.  Green fees can be quite reasonable at courses such as Riverwalk Golf Club, or for someone looking for the high-end touch there are courses such as Maderas Golf Club and La Costa Resort.

San Diego is a wonderful city with an amazing amount of sites to see and activities to partake in.  Spending one week there, a person can only scratch the surface of what there is to do.  From Sea World and the Wild Animal park to having a tour on the USS Midway aircraft carrier or taking a scenic drive through the La Jolla area with all of its shops and restaurants and scenery.  Throw in a round of golf or two and this is a city that one can keep coming back to time and time again, always leaving with a completely different experience.

I recently spent some time there and played the Steele Canyon Golf Club.  It is a Gary Player designed course that offers 27 holes of spectacular golf.  Located slightly east of the city, each nine has a very different feel from the next with the Canyon nine offering some spectacular views with many elevation changes and dramatic shot making challenges. The Ranch course winds its way through fields of working ranch while the Meadow course stretches along the valley floor though woodlands and streams.  Greens fees here average about $99 in the winter months and for the quality of golf the value is excellent.  Steele Canyon has been awarded Golf Digests four-star rating and has some of the best greens in the area.  The staff was fantastic and service at the club is as good as the golf.

Let GolfPatio help you with your next vacation to the San Diego area and book your golf times at a variety of world-class destinations.

Extend Your Golf Season In British Columbia

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Fall is fast approaching and once again the Canadian golfing season is far too quickly drawing to a close. As the leaves all are turning color and beginning to fall, many golfers are frantically trying to get in their last swings of the year before it is time to pack the clubs away and dream of next year. After a fabulous golf season, thanks to a previous winters heavy snow fall and constant temperatures, most golf courses were in excellent shape and provided some quality golf in the 2008 season.

The golf season does not have to end so quickly though! Why not take a trip west and visit British Columbia. The province is fortunate to boast a longer golf season and in parts of BC a golfer can virtually play year round. BC has everything a golfer could ever want. From the Okanagan, Vancouver’s lower mainland, Whistler and finally Vancouver Island, the choices of world class facilities and quality golf courses seem to be endless. Mainland-Vancouver Golf

Choose to golf in and around the Vancouver area and golfers are met with wonderful mountain views. Courses like Furry Creek Golf and Country Club, Morgan Creek Golf Course and Mayfair Lakes Golf and Country Club. With all of the activities one can chose from in and around Vancouver you will never have a shortage of exciting things to do.

Vancouver Island Golf

If you choose to head to Vancouver Island and one is truly met with an environmental wonder of the world. Thick green rain forest, mountains, ocean, and an abundance of wildlife it has everything one could ask for including a climate that provides golf virtually year round. There are wonderful courses to choose from such as Arbutus Ridge Golf Course, Bear Mountain Golf and Country Club and Olympic View Golf Club (which Tiger himself once played). The courses are tremendous and the views are spectacular. During the off season between November and February courses are often quiet and golfers do not usually have trouble finding tee times.

So do not fear and don’t let winter bring your golf season to an early end. Make your way to British Columbia and you can still find an abundance of golf. Search for BC tee times using Golfpatio.com and relax….you’ll find a tee time!
