The Lakes at Pelican Point opened for play on November 1, 2002 and was built by Holmes and Company of Orlando, Florida, one of the country's most respected golf course builders. The course is a par 71 and measures a little over 6,500 from its championship tees. Doglegs shaped by trees and mounds, this course requires patience and accuracy off the tee box. The putting surface offer difficult pin placements and J-2 Bermuda grass on the greens provide for a superb putting surface. Challenging recovery shots and bump and runs are common for the wayward iron shot.
