Furman University Golf Club Bio Welcome to Furman University Golf Club, located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on Highway 25 in Greenville. The championship course measures 6,800 yards from the back tees and has bermuda fairways and bent-grass greens, as well as an irrigation system that provides water for the tees, fairways and greens. The grounds include a driving range, putting and chipping greens, and a practice bunker. Furman University Golf Club serves as home to the Paladin golf program. The Paladins have produced such well-known professional golfers as LPGA stars Betsy King, Beth Daniel, Dottie Pepper, and Sherri Turner, and PGA regular Brad Faxon. The club plays host to two major collegiate golf tournaments (men’s and women’s) each year as well as the annual Furman LPGA Pro-Am, which draws thousands of fans.
