Lorena Ochoa birdied the last hole to take home the $1 million prize for the 2007 ADT Championship on Sunday. Natalie Gulbis pushed Ochoa right up until the last hole by making birdie on 17 to close the gap to only one stroke. It looked like Ochoa was in trouble on 18 as her ball was buried deep in the rough but she powered through with a six-iron and rolled the ball within a few feet from the cup.
This win gave Ochoa her eighth title of the year and close to $4.4 million in prize money, which shatters the record set by Annika Sorenstam five years ago. It will be exciting to see what Lorena has in store for golf fans over the coming years.
